Winner of the 2003 British Standards Institute Sustainability in Design Competition, the Charcole Concrete cool box was devloped as a cheap and robust cooler working on the age old principle of evaporation of water. The potentail to use the charcole based concrete as a water filtration device was also investigated. Designed and built in colaboration with Martin Yong.
